Forever Frozen By Trinity Lemm

BOOK REVIEW

I was excited to step back into the world of all things Axel and Tate!! It would be too good to be true for our lovely couple to have their happy ever after just yet.. Forever Frozen is a roller coaster ride of emotions following Tate in the midst of university while juggling classes, friends and her relationship while dealing with the ongoing effects of trauma, as her past relationship yet again comes back to haunt her. I loved the amount of foreshadowing and symbolism throughout the book!! So cleverly the title alone, is such a strong grounds for the entire storyline, with the depth of character and emotional exploration tethering you to the book. It is a story of hope and resilience highlighting the reality of living with PTSD and the effects of a toxic relationship years after it has ended. Trinity perfectly captures the thoughts and experiences that any human being in that scenario would anticipate, which I cannot commend enough!! You can’t help but enjoy being a part of the family and friendship groups in Forever Frozen! I enjoyed the side character dynamic between Ash and Gia and their storyline was great. I love that Trinity is not afraid to show a raw and real sometimes sensitive side to a guy, as Ash grapples with loss and breakup. Showcasing depth of character and heartache at its finest. Centered around college life, the repetitive nature of their daily life did feel a little slow/repetitive at times but being apart of Axel and Tate’s dynamic is fun and refreshing. Tate and Axel’s relationship is one that overcomes the demons of past and present but is that enough for it to last a life time… Without giving any spoilers - all I will say is don’t prepare to stop with this book!! You will be dying for book 3 by the end of it.
